As the plane begins to land in Israel tears begin to fill my eyes. I started to process that we were arriving in the Holy land. The place where my Savior was born and raised. I started to cry tears of joy and begin to praise the Lord. I heard the others in my group weeping with tears of joy as well. It was a heartwarming moment that I would never forget.
We got off the plane at Tel Aviv airport and were greeted by an amazing leader to take us to our luggage. As we walked down the hallways I noticed the stone on the walls. Someone explained to me that the stone was called Jerusalem limestone and it is extremely one of a kind.
We went through the security process and arrived at baggage claim. I found my bag in a horrible condition it was taped up and the zipper was broken. Our host leader took me to the baggage claim reporting desk. They gave me a voucher to receive a new bag while in Israel. After this, we left the airport and got on our bus to arrive at our first hotel in Bethlehem.
When we arrived at the hotel our bus guide made it clear that we were right across the street from the place where Jesus was born. After understanding this information I immediately began to feel that everything was shifting in my life because I was going to be sleeping that night at the place Jesus was born.
The room was amazing, and the view was even better because we could see all the beautiful buildings. I begin to worship the Lord that first night and read all the scriptures about the stories mentioned in Bethlehem. The Bible came to life in a new way when I read the scriptures in the place where my savior was born. Everything became so clear to me because everything that I believed was confirmed as I slept in Bethlehem the first night. The first night was amazing but it was just the beginning of what would take place over the next 11 days.
You are LOVED,
Jesus Girl
