Day 6- Day of Encounters
This day blew my mind! Like literally I encountered the Lord in a NEW WAY. We started off in our lovely hotel right by Sea of Galilee. Our first stop was Capharnaum the town of Jesus. This is where Jesus performed many of His miracles. There was a known miracle in the Bible where a man who was paralyzed was lowered through the roof of Jesus discliple Peter home by his friends to be healed by Jesus. Jesus healed the man after he seen the faith the friends had to lower thier friend through a roof in order to be healed. Jesus chose 5 of His discliples in Capharnaum. I had so many expectations walking into Capharnaum. We seen the site where Peter house was originally located. Then we stood at the place where Jesus actually preached and taught the people while in Capharnaum. You could literally feel Him. Even though He wasn’t physically there it felt like He was soooo close. I remember not even feeling worthy to step around the exact place He preached.
God spoke to me and said ,” You would have been worthy to stand with me then and you are worthy to stand with me now.” I had no words I felt the love of Him. I understood that Jesus came for everyone He preached to everyone and wanted everyone to understand who He is. He is the truth, the way, and the light.
After this we went by the sea of Galilee and heard the wise teachings of Brian Simmons who wrote the incredible passion translation Bible. As he was teaching under the tree. I felt nudge of the Holy Spirit to go sit by the Sea of Galilee alone. I followed the prompting. When I set down on a rock by the sea of Galilee immediately I felt the presence of the Lord like a consuming fire I no longer was present with what was going on around me. The presence of the Lord was heavy and the weight of His glory was evident. I couldn’t move or talk but just tears of joy ran down my face. I recieved what the Lord was doing. After about 30 minutes… well honestly I don’t know how long it was but I got up still feeling the weight of the encounter I just had. I walked to the bus and I couldn’t speak. I tried to open my mouth and talk but nothing was coming out. I quickly realized the Lord was doing something still. He was not allowing me to speak. The Holy spirit reminded me of the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel was a prophet and the Lord caused ezekiel to be mute until he told him to speak again to the people.
I wrote this note in my phone while being mute after leaving Capharnaum on same day as encounter took place:
“It is hard to explain what happened when we was at Capharnaum and Sea of Galilee … but my life will never be the same. It was supernatural what took place.
I literally cannot speak my voice box is gone like when I move my mouth my voice do not flow through.” The Lord spoke to me and said He made me mute until he tell me to speak again and when He do allow me to speak power will flow out.
The Lord was revealing to me that I would prosphesy correction to people in love not condemnation. He showed me that I would preach to others about why sin hurts them and He wants people to come to knowledge of His truth. God revealed that He has formed me as a prophet to speak the word to others in power and love. He stated that Ezekiel was not understood by many in the same way some might not understand and recieve the message He gives me but He told me to prosphesy and preach the word in love anyway.
After I was able to speak again I felt a shift in my life and little did I know that was just the beginning!
Right after I was able to speak again we had went to have an amazing lunch. I ate a whole cooked fish eyeballs and all LOL. It was delicious. We ended up going to a place close by where Jesus preached the beautitides. Then we went to the house of Magdala where the woman of the Bible were honored. This was an amazing experience. The leaders that were leading the trip apologized to all the women on behalf of the men that have hurt us and shut women voices down that God wants to use for His glory. Mostly all the women were crying it was such a emotional heartwarming experience.
God does not care if you are a woman or man He can use anyone to do the will of Him. After this experience we went to the final event of day being baptized in the Jordan river!!! Now I already experienced an encounter with the Lord at the sea of Galilee but I believe He was preparing me for the Jordan river encounter! I remember changing into my clothes and putting on my robe just being in expectation on what was about to take place.
When my turn came up to be baptized I was so happy! I remember feeling the water on my legs and then rest of my body. The water was cold but it didn’t matter but all that mattered to me was I was getting baptized in the same Jordan river Jesus was baptized by John. I remember the ladies dunking me in the water and as soon as I came up I felt an overwhelming joy. It was the consuming joy of the Lord and it was evident!
I knew I would literally NEVER be the same. I felt like the Lord was showing me that He makes all things NEW. When we are in Christ we are a new creation the old has passed away. I would recommend if you ever get a chance please get baptized in the Jordan river it is an experience you will never forget! After, this we went back to our hotel and had dinner. I rested that night in what all took place that day.
